Most youngsters like to paint. This year as one of our favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas we are suggesting an apron for the mother and the youngster.
Most craft stores have blank aprons that are ready to be painted or decorated. Luckily, the aprons come in various sizes. Buy an apron for the Mom and one for the child or children. Let the kids paint Mom’s apron and paint one of their own.
Children love to create something special for their parents. So, why not let the kids create something special for themselves at the same time.
On the mother’s apron, the child can paint “Happy Mother’s Day” and whatever their little minds come up with. On their own aprons they can paint “Mom’s Little Helper” or something similar. Not only will the apron be a treasure for the mother, but it will have special meaning when the mother and child are baking cookies together or making brownies.
For younger children, this will help keep their interest in creating that special Mother’s Day gift. Kids love to give, but they love to receive, too. Making an apron for each will keep them interested. Both the mom and child will enjoy hours together in the kitchen baking for the family.
Over time, the aprons will probably find a way into Mom’s treasure chest. But, be sure to get a few pictures of the young family in the kitchen together.
